THANKSGIVING DAY November 26, 2009
On Thanksgiving Day, Armenia Fund hosts a worldwide international telethon to audiences across the globe through cable, satellite and internet networks.
Over the past 12 years, the Telethon has become a worldwide event beaming from continent to continent with the mission of uniting the greater Armenian Diaspora under a common cause. Armenia Fund has successfully rallied the Armenian people around its nation building endeavor, helping rebuild Armenia and delivering hope to thousands living in remote rural regions.
With the click of a button or through the flick of your TV remote control, you can be part of Armenian nation-building. On Thanksgiving Day, you have the real chance to help make Armenia and Karabakh a better place to live. Help Armenia Fund make a real difference in the lives of the people in the Homeland.
For eleven years, this annual event has become more than a way to give thanks in the name of Armenia. The Armenia Fund Telethon has become an honored tradition attracting millions of viewers during the twelve hours of live airtime in an effort to bring change and hope to communities in rural Armenia and Artsakh. The villages - some ravaged by war, others by economic turmoil - face a variety of complex issues that now seem less challenging because of the overwhelming support of the Armenian Diaspora and Armenia herself.
In an effort to maximize participation in the Telethon, a Phonathon has been organized with the help of many Armenian volunteers, who will make hundreds of phone calls, a week prior to the Telethon. This pre-telethon effort will help spread the word about the upcoming Telethon and give individuals the opportunity to make donations prior to the Thanksgiving Day.
Just click directly on the Volunteer Form and submit the dates and times you'd like to help out!
For more information visit the Event Page on Facebook. Share the event with your friends!
Proceeds from the Telethon and Phonathon benefit core infrastructure projects in remote areas of Armenia and Karabakh. For more information on these initiatives, please click here.
