SPONSOR ANAHID UGURLAYAN IN THE
2010 HAMPTONS MARATHON ON OCTOBER 2
Prolific marathon runner Anahid Ugurlayan teams up for the second time with Armenia Fund USA to support the Elderly Home in Yerevan, Retirement Home N1.
Armenia Fund USA continues to support the home, contributing funds as the needs for them arise. Having visited the home this summer herself, Anahid stands behind a project that she was initially drawn to after being raised by her grandparents, the legacy of which is a permanent “soft spot” in her heart for the elderly:
“For the last five years, I have run in a marathon, raising funds for worthy Armenian and non-Armenian causes. This year, I am again running for Armenia Fund USA's Elderly Home in Yerevan. I learned of this project through a late, beloved family friend, Mrs. Anna Kayaloff, who devotedly contributed to the retirement home for many years. Please support me as generously as you can as I run the Hamptons Marathon, helping to improve the lives of those at the Elderly Home in Yerevan. Together, we can make it happen. Thank you in advance for your generosity!”
Sincerely,
Anahid Ugurlayan
In 2007, Armenia Fund USA sponsored the much-needed renovation of the Elderly Home in Yerevan with the intention of more comfortably and cleanly accommodating the 260 residents. This project was initiated by the late Mrs. Anna Kayaloff and brought to fruition in large part by means of her sponsorship, targeting a particularly vulnerable segment of society, aiming to ensure that they are not forgotten… And they were not. Says resident Jemma Karapetian: “We feel that we’re still remembered, that somebody cares.”
To support Anahid’s fundraising efforts and the elderly Armenian community’s well-being, please make your donation now. Contributions are used to upgrade the facility and meet the immediate needs of the residents, correlating with the ongoing, on site projects within the home’s purview.
