RECONSTRUCTION OF POTABLE WATER NETWORK IN KARABAKH’S UKHTADZOR COMMUNITY IS COMPLETED
The project was financed by the French affiliate of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and Nagoro-Karabakh Government
NEW YORK, New York — The number one problem affecting the Ukhtadzor community of 345 was lack of drinking water and regular water supply. The community’s network, built in 1950s, was long in a state of disrepair, with corroded pipes causing extensive water loss. As a result, the village received water only for two hours a day .
Within the project, one of the existing reservoirs was reconstructed, the other -renovated. The underground spring located for about 4 km from the village was reconstructed. The improvements resulted in significant increase of water volume. Due to the newly installed pipeline, a community district has already regular water-supply.
