ARMENIA ISSUES POSTAGE STAMP COMMEMORATING 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF HAYASTAN ALL-ARMENIAN FUND

New York, NY — Haypost, Armenia’s postal service, has issued a stamp to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

In a ceremony held on December 12 at Haypost’s Central Branch in Yerevan, the stamp was officially put in circulation when Ara Vardanyan, executive director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund; Gagik Gevorgyan, chief of staff of the Ministry of Transport and Communication; Juan Pablo Gechidjian, managing director of Haypost Trust Management; and Haik Avagyan, acting CEO of Haypost CJSC, applied postal markings on four first-day covers of the stamp.

The stamp’s vignette consists of the fund’s 20th anniversary logo (including two flopped images of the Armenian flag) and a wheel of eternity featuring the names of the countries in which the fund operates.

The design’s background shows the map of the world, symbolizing the bond between the worldwide Armenian community and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. The stamp’s colors reflect those of the Armenian flag.
