Major Donors Armenia Fund USA announces its Tribute Gala
planned for October 24, 2003, at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The evening
is dedicated to honoring Armenia Fund USA’s Major Donors, who have been supporting
social and functional infrastructure in Karabagh and Armenia during the last decade.
The evening’s proceeds will benefit the building of Stepanakert’s
Diagnostic Center, an integral component of Karabagh’s first comprehensive
modern healthcare center. This special evening will be attended by several esteemed
guests, including Arkady Ghoukasian, the President of Nagorno-Karabagh, and Baroness
Caroline Cox, an international human rights activist long dedicated to Armenian
causes. Mark Momjian, a preeminent lawyer and Armenian culturist, will be hosting
the Gala as Master of Ceremonies.

In the past ten years, Armenia Fund USA has implemented ten
projects ranging from the K-12 school in Vanadzor to the East-West Highway linking
Armenia and Karabagh. Armenia Fund USA has contributed to Himnadram’s programs,
building over 1,380 miles of roads, 81 miles of waterways, 36 schools, 3 electric
transmission networks, 210 residential buildings, and 14 healthcare institutions.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the dedication
of Armenia Fund USA’s donors, the men and women of conscience who have envisioned
and supported a stronger future for Armenia and Karabagh. The Tribute Gala is
an evening dedicated to thanking these individuals who have shaped the lives of
countless many in our homeland.
Karabagh’s Diagnostic Center, which will
benefit from the Gala’s proceeds, is a crucial project with long-ranging impact
for the entire region. Armenia Fund USA has committed to building a new comprehensive
Healthcare Center in Nagorno-Karabagh, an important component of which is the
Diagnostic Center. The Center will fulfill both outpatient and inpatient needs
and will include a high-rate laboratory, ultrasound capabilities, and modern medical
equipment.
